As part of the Association for Coaching, The Dharma Coaching Institute strives to make sure that these core competencies are infused as the important coaching fundamentals in your double certification as a Dharma Certified coach and Spiritual Life Coach training.

- Establishing coaching agreements and objectives with a client.
- Establishing empathy and rapport for effective trust.
- Following all ethics and professional codes of conduct as a coach.
- Tuning into your client to maximize transformational communication.
- Allowing for insight and self-awareness for the client to achieve progress.
- Providing space for growth, introspection, and feedback with the client.
- Providing constructive care for the benefit of the coach-client relationship.
- Making sure all boundaries are respected, in a judgement free zone that is safe and supportive for the coach-client relationship.
